HELLO!

I am Lauren ‘Lulu’ West!

I am a current 2nd-year Master’s student at the University of Oregon pursuing a degree in Sports Product Design. Combining my studies with my prior degree in Biomedical Engineering, I am a strategic problem solver who focuses on creating out-of-the-box solutions.

My primary focus lies in creating better-functioning designs using my specialties in biomechanics and neuroengineering, and I enjoy creating beautiful apparel and footwear solutions that solve the complex needs of today’s athletes. Every athlete deserves to feel elite - regardless of ability, size, or gender- thus inspiring my logo of the ‘West Crown’!

I’ve always been an avid fan of the Olympics and Paralympics ever since watching London 2012. As a former competitive swimmer, I carry this spirit of competition into my designs to push the limits of what is possible and help all athletes succeed. My current passions lie in the Running, Training, and Elite Sports (Track & Field, Basketball, Tennis, Rugby, Para athletics, etc.) spaces.

However, outside of my professional interests, I love exploring the outdoors and can be found in the closest body of water! I am an avid gym-goer, dog mom, painter, and amateur baker.

I am a driven & passionate designer who wants to make athletics more accessible for all athletes by innovating highly functional & beautiful sports product solutions. I have specific interests in therapeutic textiles, modularity, & inclusive solutions for athletes of all abilities and sizes.
