My 3-week Year 1 apparel studio final project.

This project was to take a sport from the upcoming Invictus Games and create a new uniform from scratch. I focused on low-point wheelchair rugby players for this project, and finding ways to support their specific needs & movements during play. After thorough athlete research with members of Team USA and the Lakeshore Demolition Team, I found unique needs for grip assistance, sweat management, range-of-motion, & shock absorption. My pride in this piece was using the forearm and hand coverings to act as a glove to grip and push the wheel faster while protecting these areas from bruising due to the extreme forces, as well as designing my own custom shin-guards.
